Kymmenen vuoden yksinäisyys on dokumentti Absoluuttisesta Nollapisteestä 1990-luvun alusta vuoteen 2004. Dokumentissa käydään läpi bändin uraa alusta alkaen matkalle kohti suomirockin työläisyyttä. Keikkailun lomassa bändiläiset pohtiva paikkaansa maailmassa. Näe keikkapalkkion – eli ässä arpojen – raaputtelua, Kirjastorockissa tapahtuva ensimmäinen keikka, biisilistan kirjoittamista, Tommi Liimatan stringit sekä muuta filosofointia tämän persoonallisen ja aina yhtä mielenkiintoisen yhtyeen uraa valottavassa sympaattisessa dokumentissa.
Brainy Finnish rockers Absoluuttinen Nollapiste from the early 1990s until today. The band scratching their performance fee (scratchcards), playing their first gig at the Library Rock Festival, jotting down a setlist, singer Tommi Liimatta’s g-string and other ruminations, all featured in this documentary shedding light on the career of this individualist and ever interesting group.

Flogging Molly on bändi, jonka musiikkia on kuvattu irlantilaiseksi folkpunkiksi.
Kahden vuoden aikana seitsemässä maassa kuvattu Whiskey On A Sunday on huolella ja tyylillä tehty dokumentti yhtyeestä, joka on enemmänkin yhtä suurta perhettä. Laulaja ja nokkamies Dave King toteaa; ”Uskomme toisiimme ja itseemme, siksi emme pelkää ketään”. Flogging Molly on viime kädessä seitsemän erilaisen ihmisen yhdistelmä, jonka kuitenkin sitoo yhteen intohimo musiikkiin. Dokumentista paistaa aito lämpö ja välittäminen ja samalla vankkumaton usko juuri siihen omaan juttuun jota ollaan tekemässä.

Shot over two years and in seven countries, the feature-length documentary Whiskey on a Sunday is an intimate portrait of the Irish-infused rock band Flogging Molly. The film tracks the group of musicians from their bar-band roots to their current success, including footage of the band in the studio, on tour, at home and at their sold-out homecoming performance at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles Whiskey on a Sunday is an “in-the-pocket” experience with the candid and charismatic Flogging Molly family. Bound by intense passion, unwavering honesty and “some weird juju,” the seven members and their associates provide a good look at how things can be done against the grain. Bucking tradition, industry naysayers and inflexible business models, front man Dave King and crew illustrate their own formula for success: believing in oneself, refusing to be pigeonholed, and rising from humble beginnings to fulfill a dream, set to the driving folk beat of their vibrant live performances. Whiskey on a Sunday includes dozens of candid and rare photographs, archival footage, and several unreleased songs.

Vuonna 2001 perustettu bändi THE DAMNWELLS ehti lämmitellä nimekkäitä rockbändejä, heidän biisi pääsi suuren toimintaelokuvan soundtrackille, ja vihdoin vuonna 2004 he allekirjoittivat levytyssopimuksen suuren levy-yhtiön kanssa. Vuoden 2005 alkupuolella bändi aloitti ensimmäisen levynsä äänityksen. Puolen vuoden ajan bändi esituotti, äänitti ja miksasi tulevaa albumiaan. Aika kului ja julkaisupäivää oli siirrettävä hamaan tulevaisuuteen, kunnes viimein vuoden 2006 tammikuussa THE DAMNWELLSIN laulaja Alex Dezen sai odottamattoman puhelun. Levy-yhtiö päätti irtisanoa sopimuksen.
THE DAMNWELLS – bändi joka oli tottunut pitämään langat omissa käsissään – joutui nyt odottelemaan tyhjin käsin levyn kerätessä pölyä levy-yhtiön hyllyillä.

In 2001, a photo assistant named Alex Dezen asked a couple friends to record a few songs with him. Shortly thereafter they would form the Brooklyn based rock band THE DAMNWELLS. Two years later they had toured the country, opened for rock legends, and had a song featured in a major motion picture. By 2004, they had signed a major record deal with EPIC Records (Sony/BMG).
In March of 2005, THE DAMNWELLS went into the studio to record their first professional album. For six months, THE DAMNWELLS immersed themselves in preproduction, recording, and mixing. But as months passed, their release date was moved further and further away. In January of 2006, lead singer Alex Dezen received a call they never expected. The band was being released from their contract and the fate of the album was unknown. For the moment, it would sit on a shelf at EPIC Records and collect dust.
THE DAMNWELLS, who had previously recorded their albums in a storage space and their apartments, were not used to waiting. They had been in complete control of their music and their lives before they signed on the dotted line. Now, a year of their lives was sitting on a shelf waiting to be heard.
Will the band break up, will they go their separate ways, or will they take back their future?

Renowned film-maker Julien Temple (Glastonbury, The Filth and The Fury) will tell the extraordinary story of Joe’s life in a feature documentary – “The Future is unwritten”.
“The Future is unwritten” will be narrated by Joe himself – previously unheard recordings will underpin the narrative – and will include the following;
Exclusive access to all of Joe’s recordings, writings, personal film and video recordings, drawings, letters, etc. Joe liked to hoard his own materials. Since a child he kept everything. “The Future is unwritten” will have it all.
Exclusive access to the recordings of never before seen footage of Joe with The Clash and The Mescaleros. Including the bands first ever gig (recorded by Julian in 1976), the very last gig just before he died and the impromptu reunion gig of Joe with Mick Jones (co founder of the Clash) – they hadn’t spoken in over 10 years.
Through interviews with friends, colleagues and contemporaries and with exclusive access to the recordings, never before seen or heard, of Joe telling his own story….
… his early days as the son of a Foreign office civil servant living in India and Africa whose only link to home was through the BBC world service, to his times as a hippie and squatter
… his rise to fame as a supposed working class hero; the phenomenon of The Clash
… the wilderness years after he fired Mick Jones (his writing partner and guitarist) and revulsion of his record company’s behaviour
… his subsequent reintegration to music and performance with The Mescaleros
… and his coming of age as icon and revered spokesperson leading up to his sad and untimely death.
